Grocery Shopping for a College Dorm Room

Recently, my roommate and I got a mini fridge/freezer for our dorm room, and we decided that we needed to go grocery shopping to fill our fridge with our favorite foods (ah, the nutritious and varied diet of a college kid!). We went to the local Whole Foods and CVS to see what we could buy, and here are five things that can now be found in our wonderful fridge:
- Two bottles of sparkling apple cider
They were having a “Buy two bottles, get a discounted price” special, and as my roommate and I both love sparkling apple cider, we got two bottles. Never mind that we don’t have cups to drink the cider with… - A wedge of Parmesan cheese
I adore all kinds of cheese, and I like eating most cheeses straight. I bought a wedge of Parmesan cheese so I could break bits of it off whenever I was craving some cheese and eat it straight. My roommate thinks that’s really weird, but hey, that means more cheese for me! - Two bottles of Naked’s Mighty Mango
I love most Naked juices, but Mighty Mango is by far my favorite. Maybe it’s because I can never find any mangoes, especially when I’m craving one. Plus, Naked juices have a crapload of vitamins and antioxidants and stuff, so I can get my nutrients fix as well as satisfy any mango cravings that may occur. - A punnet of strawberries
They very, very rarely have strawberries at my college’s cafeteria. And when they do, they are weird and mushy and look really old, and are thoroughly unappetizing. But now that we have have fresh strawberries in our fridge, that means we no longer need to make the furtive trek to the cafeteria, wishing that they would have some nice, non-mushy strawberries. - Spinach and artichoke dip
This one is for my roommate, as I’ve never had spinach and artichoke dip before. It looks really good though, so I think I’ll like it. However, we encountered a small problem when we were loading our groceries into the fridge – we forgot to buy chips or bread to eat the dip with. We’ll either have to eat it straight or have another grocery shopping journey soon to fix this…

hahaha That sounds like when my best friend and I go shopping. We usually get a bag of chips, a 2-liter of orange soda and then really random stuff. :P One time, we went to just get a thing of fudgecicles and ended up with chips, soda, like bagels, tea…XD It was so random. hahaha
That sounds quite typical though. :D Oh, and I also get cheese cravings. ;3 I have a thing of smoked swiss in the frige at all times. :D

Oh, I love Parmesan cheese! It’s just so yummy… :9
Ah, haha! You should come to Venezuela then… we have loads of mangoes here. I don’t like them, so more for you, hee!

Gotta love strawberries. :3 Maybe you should try eating cheese with that spinach and artichoke dip! Both of them are delicious, after all!
You didn’t mention any sweets here – I couldn’t live without them. I’ve read an article on Yahoo about people being addicted to sugar nowadays, and I’m pretty sure, I’m one of those people. Not like I care much, everyone needs their addictions. ;P
Guess what, I googled stereotypes about black hair, a.k.a. raven heads! You should be mysterious and sexy. Hah, lucky you! Nothing negative. ;P Brunettes are said to be prude. Poor me? /end writing a comment which has nothing to do with your post – I know it’s a kind of musn’t in the blogosphere, but I wanted to share this info with you >_<

This sounds like a mini-fridge that I’d like to have in my room- I would gladly consume everything in it =D
Grocery shopping is fun- go back and buy more things! I say icecream, but it’s winter for you so perhaps not.
