A Story in Six Words

I’ve always liked writing, and I have written a novel or two in my time (mind you, they weren’t very good!) as well as some poetry. I do have a current novel idea in the works, but who knows how long that’ll take me to write as I’m a full-time student with a part-time job, but I still try to write a little something every day, especially since I’m participating in Embodiment – but that’s a story for another post ;)

Anyway. I found this site Six Word Stories, where users can submit a story of six words to the site. Six words sounds like a very small amount, but as I was reading through some of the submissions, a lot can be told in six words. Some of the stories were funny, others sad, and some were just weird, but I really enjoyed reading through what users had posted on the site. It makes you realize that not every story has to be lengthy and wordy and descriptive; sometimes short and straight to the point is a better way to tell a story.

After fiddling around a bit, I came up with a six word story of my own:

“I love you.” “That’s not enough.”

What’s your six word story?

That’s a really neat concept – a story in six words. Now I’m going to have to check out this website!

I used to write novels, as well, when I was young. Most of them was not good, though, but they kept me entertained. :P I also wrote some poems when I was depressed, but poetry is not my thing, after all. I’m just not good at it.

Embodiment sounds good, I checked the site. :) But I still don’t think that I could make it – I mean, I write enough during school! My hands are already dying!

I can’t come up with a six word story, but I’ve read some of them, and they are awesome. :D Wish I’ve had the creativity and energy. Anywho, yours is great, too! It definitely tells a looong story in only some words. That’s amazing!

Six words or less?! What about plot? What about character?

Yours is actually pretty good… Just enough to leave you wanting more!

Your one is good! I wish I could finally sit down and start writing… but I never seem to have/make the time. Obviously it’s about making the time, because I spend a lot of computer time with my fanlistings…

I was trying to think of something witty in 6 words, but failed miserably… how about “you never returned what you borrowed!”

    … I know, it’s lame!

I’ve seen that site before, I love reading the stories!

    Mine is.. uhm.

“Then how did you escape him?”

Wow, that’s so neat! Love it, haha! Nah, I suck at this kind of things… but I love the site. :D
