Every Hour on the Hour February 2009

February 19th, 2009 | Categories: Life | 8 Comments

Yesterday, February 18, was February’s day for Every Hour on the Hour (EHOTH), a monthly event hosted/run by Vegetarian Option. Essentially, you take pictures every hour on the hour of your day to give a visual representation of what it is like a day in the life. Here are my EHOTH photos for February!

Time to wake up! I slept in later than I had intended too, oops. Luckily I don’t have any early morning classes. (You can see my copy of Watermelon by Marian Keyes, one of my favorite books, underneath my clock :P)

It was raining, snowing, and sleeting all today, and the awful weather meant that it was time to bring out my lovely, rainbow polka-dotted rainboots. My proportions are quite freakish here, but I’m pretty sure that has to do with the angle of my mirror.

My first class of today was Chinese. It’s the most intense class ever, but I love it. Tones, characters, and pinyin for the win!

I had a French test today, so I did some studying/revising before I went to class. Yay for vocab, direct/indirect objects, possessive and demonstrative pronouns!

After my French test, I had some serious tea cravings, so I made myself a cup of tea. My lovely Alice in Wonderland mug (featuring the Chesire Cat and Alice, which I’m sure will impress Sophie and Alice!) was a present from my kick-ass roommate.

When I was at dinner, one of my floormates saw me and told me that the fire alarm had gone off for our residence hall. I was so glad that I wasn’t in my room at the time the fire alarm had gone off, because I’m lucky enough to have one of those in my room. It’s a joy to wake up to at 3am, let me tell you!

Doing my math homework, and studying for my quiz tomorrow. I am so looking forward to being done with math forever at the end of this semester.

Time for a shower. I’ve got my shower caddy, shower shoes (aka cheap flip flops), and towel in hand. Communal showers are just one of the perks of living in a college dorm…

I had started participating in Embodiment at the beginning of the year, but things got too hectic and I stopped, much to my regret. I’ve vowed to keep it up this time, and I’m slowly easing myself back into the routine of journaling every day. I really missed doing it, so I’m happy that I’m picking it up again.

Bedtime! Another day down, two left in the week to go. It was a fairly uneventful day overall, but it was a good one, too. No one ever said my days were exciting ;)

This is entirely random, but I love your bedding. It’s cute! It reminds me of fireworks. :D

  2. Aimee says:

    Love your mug. =]

I’d forget to take a photo every hour. Might be a fun challenge, though.

Ooh, I really want to steal this idea. Perhaps on one of my more adventurous days? Otherwise it’d be waking up. Eating in bed. Reading in bed. More eating in bed. Etc.

Looks like you had a good day- very productive and all, plus you got to sleep in! =D

So there were only 10 hours to your day??

I really like this idea; the main problem is that I wouldn’t be able to take any photos for a huge chunk of time (at school).

In other news, I enjoy looking at other people’s schoolwork and textbooks. I love your handwriting!

I wish neither of my two cameras had broken, I don’t like missing EHOTH. :(
I love your rainboots, they’re extremely cute!

  6. Marie says:

    Aww, I love your mug!
And I find it so fascinating that you take Chinese – it sounds like a really interesting class. Better than Math – I don’t blame you for being happy to finally be rid of it.

    I loved this post! :D

I envy you for being able to sleep until late! I always get up around 5:30 a.m. It’s hellll.

It has been snowing here, too, during the whole week with some sunny breaks, like today. I’m glad, since I’m going out today, and snow would make everything more complicated, cold, and overall uncomfortable.

Maths I something I’ll always detest. Right now, I kind of understand what we are learning, but I’m sure that I’ll make some smaller mistakes in the test and that will lead to a D grade. Like it always does.

Communal showers is something I got used to, because we used to go camping every year, and well… it’s pretty much the same. :) I don’t like them, though.

    Your handwriting is really nice!
