More Cherry Blossoms

I went to the cherry blossom festival last year and had a wonderful time, so I went to this year’s festival this past weekend to enjoy the festivities. It was a beautiful day, with the sun shining brightly and not a single cloud in the blue, blue sky. There were cherry blossoms (and tourists) as far as the eye could see, and my friends and I walked all around the Tidal Basin to photograph the cherry blossom trees as well as visit the FDR and Jefferson memorials. Hard to imagine that the last time I was at the Tidal Basin, I was exhausted and trying to preserve body heat after witnessing Obama’s inauguration when it was so nice and sunny out!
