5 Things

April 24th, 2009 | Categories: Life | 4 Comments

A while ago, there was a “25 Things” note going around on Facebook, where you listed 25 things about yourself and tagged 25 people in the note to do the same. Here are 5 things I listed in my own “25 Things” note.

  • I love the fact that I’ve lived in a bunch of places all over the world. At the time, I hated it, and thought it was the worst thing ever. Looking back though, I wouldn’t want to trade it for the world. Being exposed to so many languages and cultures is pretty amazing, and I definitely want to continue living all around the world in the future.
  • I have studied classical ballet for eleven years. When I was 15, my kneecap collapsed when I was performing at a gala, and that ended any dreams of continuing ballet. I really miss it and wish I could pick it up again, but truthfully I haven’t danced since that fateful performance.
  • I see my future in short-term stages. I’ve learned a long time ago to never count on anything long-term, and to always prepare for unexpected changes in plans for life. I hate thinking about things in long-term because every time I count on something in the long-term, I end up moving again and everything changes.
  • In addition to being clumsy, I fall off of beds a lot. Sometimes I fall onto beds. I’m not really sure how it happens. I’ve gotten stuck when falling off a bed, and I’ve also fallen onto a desk after falling out of a bed. I’ve also gotten stuck between two beds once. I’m not sure why I’m so uncoordinated with beds. It’s not very convenient.
  • I believe that if you loved someone once, a part of you will always love them no matter how things have changed, and no matter how small that part may be.

ROFL @ Your bed stories. I think I remember you and Roanne retelling the story of when you got stuck between the beds. XD Clearly the bed-lords must have it in for you.

And I completely agree on the last one as well. I never used to believe it, but after spends years trying to get someone out of my mind, I’ve come to realize that no matter what, when those kind of feelings are there, a small part of them will always stay with you.

Assuming you won’t hurt yourself if you try, I think you should try dancing again. :)

This post reminded me that I haven’t done this yet when a friend of mine tagged me as well.

Your third and last one apply to me as well, most especially the last. It’s most definitely true. It happened with an ex-friend of mine. A lot of things have changed between us but there’s still a small part of me that loves her regardless of the things she did that ruined our friendship. I also can’t deny the fact that I still do miss her company at times. And I have to LOL at your bed stories as well! :P Good thing that nothing serious happens to you when you fall off your bed.

I can relate to the first one. I was always angry, because others thought I was a spoiled brat and people in Hungary treated me in a different way, after coming home. It was hell for me that time (and sometimes even now). Even so, I wouldn’t want to trade that time for anything. It’s just a part of me now.

Personally, I don’t really have an idea about my future after high school. What job would be suited for me, where should I study, I can’t see any of these things. Time will work this out, though.

The first “thing” is something complicated, I guess. It’s not the amount of love that changed, but the way of loving someone. For example, I only love my ex-boyfriend like my brother now. That’s two different kinds of things.

LOL oh dear Manda, you should make a list in your journal noting all the beds you’ve fallen off and then tally hahaha

I’m not sure I agree on the last one, but then I think hmmmm maybe I didn’t love that person afterall.
