My Feed Reader is Empty
May 31st, 2009 | Categories: Online, Question of the Week | 6 CommentsI love reading blogs. Not only are the best of them witty and entertaining reads, but they are also blogs on just about every topic under the sun and there’s at least a dozen or so blogs out there for every topic I’d be interested in reading in. However, either I can’t seem to find new blogs I’d want to add to my feed reader, or the most interesting bloggers have gone on hiatus/disappeared off the blogging scene altogether, resulting in an empty feed reader for me1.
I’m interested in all kinds of blogs: personal, knitting, sewing, cooking, current events, politics, fashion, travel… the list goes on. And even if I don’t have an interest in a particular blog’s topic, I’m willing to give it at least a shot. You know, having an open mind and all that! So, this leads me to ask:
Question of the Week: What are some of your favorite blogs to read? What blogs would you recommend for me to add to my feed reader?
- Well, that’s a bit of a lie. It’s not entirely empty as I still keep up with all the blogs I am already subscribed to, but still, the lack of activity makes it feel as it’s been empty as of late! [↩]

I haven’t been reading or writing, I guess it’s just a busy time of year.
My favourite blogs are metrodad.typepad.com, karencheng.com.au and jing-wen.com but there’s always something to every blog I read thhat I really love!
I don’t know if that counts, but I love Post Secret. Sometimes I think the most powerful expression is a hint of a lot more in just a couple words and a picture.
Not that I think I am an interesting blogger, but I admit I’ve been lazy! There are so much to blog about, so little time. In a semi-related note, I am glad that your hiatus is over and you have come back with interesting entries. Keep writing please. :D
Hmm… I can’t think of any of the top of my head, but when I stumble upon something that screams “MANDA!”, I’ll definitely let you know. :D
I’m currently reading a lot of “self development” blogs, although they aren’t all on self development. Some are on productivity and creativity. There’s stevepavlina.com, who’s one of the most known bloggers on that subject and fourhourworkweek.com/blog which is about all kind of things.
I really like reading Tashina’s (http://logicalharmony.net) blog on fashion and beauty! She always posts awesome fashion articles and they’re fun to read. I also like reading J’s (http://hollow-star.net) and Katy’s (http://twentyfourcarat.net) as well.
[...] more often I very rarely had time to comment on any blogs in the last half of 2009, and when I did, a lot of my favorite bloggers were on hiatus/disappeared. Assuming real life doesn’t get too insanely busy, I want to comment on blogs more often as [...]
