Brüno

Brüno

Summary: Flamboyant Austrian fashionista Brüno (Sacha Baron Cohen) and his assistant Lutz (Gustaf Hammarsten) and their tales of running amok in America to try and become celebrities

5 Words/Phrases: Very outrageous, over-the-top humor; lots and lots of full-frontal nudity; many satirical comments about modern-day society; little continuity from scene to scene; satisfactory (and hilarious) ending

Most Impressed By: Sacha Baron Cohen’s guts to do the things he does, even if it is only in character

Least Impressed By: Some of the jokes/scenes were a little too dramatic

Overall Rating: 7.5/10

Yeah, I figured it wouldn’t be as good as everyone was making it out to be. He definitely has guts, I must say.

I sadly have not seen this movie as of yet, but I really want to for some very irrational reason. Somehow the combination of disgust and amusement makes for a really fun movie!

I try to stay away from Sacha Baron Cohen as often as possible. :P

Meh, this whole let’s take the piss and try and be clever but actually just look like a giant penis (no pun intended) really doesn’t make me laugh. I heard Borat was this amazingly funny film but other than Pamela Anderson being put in a sack it was boring. I haven’t seen Bruno but I don’t think I’ll be that impressed.
