I watched He’s Just Not That Into You recently and the above quote got me reminiscing about the first boy I ever had a crush on. It’s true; a girl never forgets. It doesn’t matter if the crush was in college, middle school, or even kindergarten. No matter when it happened, a girl always remembers.
My first crush was on a boy that was in my class in elementary school. He had blond hair and blue eyes and a wicked sense of humor that always made me laugh. Nothing ever came close to happening between us, though. He was charismatic; I was shy. He was popular; I was not. He was too well-noticed by everyone in our class and I was too soft-spoken to register on anyone’s radar.
When we entered middle school, we were separated by the fact that our last names began with letters on opposite ends of the alphabet. He liked another girl by then, and I had lost interest and was content with being friends, however loose the term might have been (we were really acquaintances at best by that point). Then I moved overseas and I never saw or heard from him again.
I looked him up on Facebook the other day as I was curious to see where he ended up after all of these years. He’s currently an engineering student at a prestigious university and, by all accounts, seems to be doing pretty well for himself. Somehow, I doubt we would recognize each other on the off chance we ever crossed paths. I am nothing like the girl I was when I was in elementary school, and something tells me he’s changed immensely since then as well.

Hi, I'm Manda. I'm a college student studying communications and languages. I like to read, shop, bake, and travel. I have a tendency to listen to my favorite songs on repeat for hours on end. Sometimes I catch myself thinking in a language other than English. 
Definitely! His name was Carlo. We were in the same kindergarten class and our nannies were friends. Of course, I had a different crush by first grade :P
God I do, I still see him around time to time when we coordinate. I don’t like him that way any more, 15 is a long time ago now.
I definitely do remember :) He was my best friend’s boyfriend (all of us were 6 years old) and she knew I liked him. We brought him flowers together :P
I’ve liked very few guys in my life, but I think the first one I ever liked was in eighth grade. He actually fits pretty well with the description of the boy you described in your post. I got over him eventually and today we’re pretty good friends.
The first boy I can remember liking… well, I have him as a friend on facebook and let’s just say he was A LOT cuter in the third grade :P
That is so cute. I remember the first boy I liked. His name was Danny and we were in preschool. The first day of kindergarten I was all excited because he remembered my name and I had a crush on him. He gave me a little pink and blue pocketbook for my birthday and I wore it to school every day. Haha.
I think I remember my first crush. XD Or I remember a very early crush who I think was my first. But I’m not 100% sure.
I remember the first boy who ever had a crush on me, though. :P We were maybe 4 or 5, and he lived across the street. One day he tried to kiss me, and I slammed the garden door in his face. XD
Yep, a boy in my class when I was at school. I thought he was gorgeous but he was in a different social group to me and it wouldn’t really have worked. I think some girls of his group latched on to my liking him because one day he embarrassed me in front of the class. I will never forget the day when everyone fell silent lol.
