I figured Kearney's gold wouldn't be one of your highlights ;) But yes, most definitely an excellent Games!

I actually saw the event where Torah Bright won gold - I was very happy for her, as she seemed really sweet!

I'm glad Australians are on the same page as Dale Begg-Smith, too. If he had moved to Australia at the age of, say, five, and grew up there and everything, then I think him representing Australia would be understandable. As that's not the case, I think Begg-Smith is trying to have his cake and eat it, too (or however the saying goes).

I'm still upset USA didn't win the hockey game, but both Canada and USA played really well and that's all you can ask for in a hockey game - to play excellently!

As an Australian, I agree 100% on the Dale Begg-Smith thing. I keep seeing ads on TV (well... I think they're ads) congratulating him and our other medallists, and I want them to STOP CONGRATULATING HIM, because he is a jerk and makes malware and isn't even Australian (this ties in with the being-a-jerk) so why should we feel proud of him?! Seriously.

I am happy for Torah Bright and Lydia Lassila and if we have any other medallists (I don't know) I'm happy for them too. But not Begg-Smith.

I didn't watch very much of the Winter Olympics. I watched maybe three or four of the events, in total :P I did also hear about the progress of the men's ice hockey final on the radio, because the presenters were rallying behind the Canadian team and kept commenting on the progress of the match (even stopping a song midway through when Canada scored the winning goal). Supporting Canada in that match is the closest I got to excited about the Olympics. None of the events I watched had any serious Australian contenders.

I totally agree with Bilodeau, Lysacek, and the women's figure skating! Those were some of my favourite moments, too.

Can't say I loved Hannah Kearney's gold - I was going for Jenn Heil. :P

Overall a good Games!
