Starring: Ashton Kutcher, Jennifer Garner, Anne Hathaway, Topher Grace, Jessica Biel, Jessica Alba, Jamie Foxx, Eric Dane, Bradley Cooper, Julia Roberts, Taylor Lautner, Queen Latifah, Carter Jenkins, Emma Roberts, Taylor Swift, Patrick Dempsey, Hector Elizondo, George Lopez, Shirley MacLaine, Bryce Robinson
Summary: A series of interconnected stories about relationships, romance, and love on Valentine’s Day
5 Words/Phrases: Cute; decent intertwining of each story; nice depth to the dynamics between Reed (Ashton Kutcher) and Julia (Jennifer Garner); fell flat in some areas; lacked that special “something” every good movie has
Most Impressed By: The fact that I was able to keep track of all the stories between the characters (there were quite a few!)
Least Impressed By: The lack of a “wow” factor I was hoping this movie would have
Comments: Love Actually > Valentine’s Day

I’ve wanted to watch this movie for months now, despite the negative reviews and the not-that-appealing cast. I guess I’m just a fan of intertwining stories and multiple storylines (especially if they’re cheesy love stories) à la Love Actually, The Holiday, and Paris, je t’aime.
The intertwining of stories was actually pretty good in this movie. I love those types of movies too :) I guess the issue I had with Valentine’s Day is that it just seemed to be trying too hard in some areas and not hard enough with others. Some of the storylines in the movie were really strong, while others kinda fell flat. It’s not a bad movie, though.
Yeah it reminded me a lot of Love Actually, I’m guessing same director or something? I liked it for the most part, and I like how they got a bit of Julia Roberts’ character from Pretty Woman in her last scene in the limo about the store on Rodeo Drive haha
I have yet to see this movie, but I do plan on seeing it this year!
