You Can’t Win If You Don’t Play

You can’t win if you don’t play.

Thanks to Twitter, I can remember exactly when I came across this quote (4:57p.m. April 27, in case anyone was wondering). Unfortunately I can’t remember where I read it, but it’s stuck with me ever since. Maybe it’s because I am competitive by nature, or that nothing irritates me more than people complaining about things that could be fixed if they took some action. But there’s something about this quote that I love and it’s definitely going to be something I try to live by.

Now I really don’t have an excuse to chicken out of anything…

This is why my parents buy a lottery ticket every month :P It’s nice to dream that you’re going to win the jackpot :P

Hehehe in Dutch we say “If you didn’t shoot, you have always missed.” or “You already have a ‘no’, you can get a ‘yes’.” which both have a similar meaning to “You can’t win if you don’t play :D It’s definitely something I try to live by, but hahah sometimes I do need some encouragement by friends & family.

I also don’t really like people who like to complain but don’t want to fix the problem even though they are capable of fixing it :( But I also noticed that there are people who simply enjoy complaining *sighs*
