Mamihlapinatapai: A look shared by two people with each wishing that the other will initiate something that both desire but which neither one wants to start.

This is about a boy; it’s always about a boy.

I wonder which one of us dares make the first move; I wonder if doing anything would be for the better or the worse. I wonder if nothing will ever happen; I wonder if we will both be left wondering what could have been.

I wonder how large the disparities are between what could be, what should be and what will be.

Apparently “mamihlapinatapai” is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most succinct word. It’s also considered one of the hardest words to translate :P

That’s an English word? I’d be so impressed if anyone would be able to put that into a sentence.
I’m not that great at giving advice, but I would advise waiting it out to see how things go. I guess it depends on whether he’s the shy or the outgoing type, since most guys who are shy require that the girls make the first move.
