I've never played DS, but my sister was obsessed with hers for awhile. It's pretty easy to get sucked into the "newest"of everything, especially since companies stop making new games in the old models (that's how I got sucked into buying a PS3). Like Clem said, anything Pokemon is fun to play!

I bought a DS on a whim just so I could play Pokemon. I sort of kind of regret it, because that's $200 that I could have used for other more awesome stuff, but I love SoulSilver so it's usually just a passing feeling of "Um, why did I do that?"

It was funny because I never had any desire for one until one day I was sitting in Careers and I was like, "Yo, I want a DS. Right now." And I went to the mall and bought one. :P

The only game I have is SoulSilver, and I love it. Other than that, can't recommend anything. :P

Professor Layton! I haven't played number one, but I'm about half way through number two and its really addictive. It is basically the only thing that I've done these past few days that have required any intellectual thinking...

A few other favourites are Scribblenauts, Mario Kart, and Cooking Mama 1, 2 and 3. And in reference to a post you made a little while ago, 100 Classic Books. I usually read either on my smart phone or on that DS game if I don't have a book with me while I'm travelling :)
