To all those who reached out to me to make sure I was okay as I cried my way through the airport and my flights back home: thank you.
So yes, I’m back in the States. I kind of fell off the face of the Internet during my trip, which I don’t regret one bit. I’ll be trying to catch up over the next few days and post my yearly “goals for the year” entry, which I still have yet to finish writing!
(And yes, I am okay. Just sad, which is to be expected after such an amazing trip where I was reunited with my family and G. I miss them all so much already.)

Oh, I got your card today! It may have arrived earlier, but I was away so I didn’t get my mail until now. And I owe you a way-too-long overdue letter. Holy geeze, what’s wrong with me.

I’ll be seeing G and my mom in the spring hopefully, but I don’t think I’ll be able to see my brother until December of next year. That’s far too long!
